Hi everyone! Welcome to the first post EVER on my blog! I’ve been sitting on this thing for months now, and it’s only in the last two weeks that I got my ass in gear to get it published. I figured the best place to start is with food, because, let’s be honest…food is the best. I f***ing love food. I don’t play Overwatch, but I’m pretty sure Brigitte is my soul mate; her fitness motto “I like exercise because I love eating” speaks to me on a spiritual level.
So, why am I blogging? I wanted a place to collect my family’s favorite recipes, share my experiences as a woman, wife, and mom, and stretch my (pitiful, atrophied) writing muscles. I’ve tried blogging before and failed spectacularly, but back then I didn’t know who I was, and so I didn’t know how to write for me. I’m still working on that, but that’s what makes blogging so great! It’s a wonderful exercise in self-reflection, AND you get to post pictures of food and your cute kids and fun stuff you’ve done. Win-win.
Anyway… You’re here for the food, right? Yeah, I would be too. Onward!
I decided one of the recurring posts I’d like to do is our weekly dinner menu. I’ve had a lot of friends ask me for recipes based on my Instagram posts, and posting them up on the blog is an easy way to share meal planning ideas! Without further ado:

Friday: Parmesan Sage Pork Chops with Roasted Butternut Squash
Saturday: Flatbread Pizzas with Garden Salads
